Not Another Cyber Lecture

Cyber safety works better when kids can practice it.

SurfSafe replaces passive lessons with choices, investigations, repairs, conversations, and boss battles. Children see what happens after each decision, so the lesson becomes easier to understand and remember.

The Old Way

  • Long video
  • Worksheet
  • Generic warning
  • Passive watching

The SurfSafe Way

  • Inspect the message
  • Choose a response
  • See the consequence
  • Master the skill

More than watching. More than memorizing.

Gameplay in Action

Every mission is a decision, not a lecture.

Short missions put kids in realistic, fictional situations where they inspect, decide, and see what happens next.

Phishing Filter. Inspect the real destination before opening a link.

Account Defense. Build defenses before the attack begins.

Digital Footprint Detective. Find the clue hidden in the photo.

Scenes shown are stylized illustrations of gameplay. All scenarios in SurfSafe are fictional.

The SurfSafe 33

33 skills for safer digital decisions.

Every mission builds one or more practical habits, from checking a sender to protecting account recovery, reducing location clues, verifying identities, and escaping pressure tactics.

Skills, not scores.

A SurfSafe skill is a specific, observable behavior. Kids earn each badge by demonstrating the skill in play, not by memorizing a definition.

Example Skill
Link Detective

Check where a link really goes before opening it. Practiced in Phishing Filter, reinforced across the academy.

About SurfSafe

Prevention first, from day one.

SurfSafe began with a simple idea: people need practical skills before something goes wrong. As the product evolved, that idea became a connected cyber academy built to help children practice safer decisions through play.

SurfSafe was created by a cybersecurity professional and is built around clarity, trust, and respect for kids and the adults who look out for them.

SurfSafe also builds a small set of Shopify apps for merchants. These products are separate from the Cyber Academy.
